Our Thriller opening has a young child as a threatened victim, this happens in many films to cast a young child along with a women as well so it comes across to the audience to appear as an innocent victim, as they look fragile, weak, vulnerable and scared this gives the impression to the audience that only the suspect is strong but we were using a red herring to twist this in our film and make the actual child seem scared as a young child but towards the end of the actual film the young child is viewed at an older age tracking the suspect and becoming a physcotic man, within his revenge to the suspect.
Here is a picture of the vulnerable child that we incorporated intoour opening sequence
vulnerable characters that were targeted in our film was also found within other full productions like 'the silence of the lambs' and 'se7en'. The characters found within both these films were women and perceived as vulnerable because they were always isolated around bigger and stronger men. This gave off the feeling that the character was vulnerable and intimidated because the men dominated over the other smaller and less powerful women, which made them easy targets.
here are 2 examples of women characters that are perc eived as vulnerable and easy targets from out of the two films 'silence of the lambs' and 'se7en'.
